My name is Mareike Kanning

My Story

I was born and raised in Germany and moved to Canada in 2014 after studying in the US  - building an entirely new life on my own.

Like many women I now work with, my early fitness journey was driven by control, not care. I under-ate. I over-trained. I used exercise to “earn” my food. I relied heavily on cardio and still didn’t feel good in my body.

For a long time, that was also how I coped with experiences I’ve gone through in life. 

What changed everything wasn’t more discipline,  it was education.

Learning how metabolism, hormones, stress, and nutrition actually work allowed me to move away from restriction and into food freedom, strength, and consistency.

Today, with over 8 years of experience and certifications in personal training and nutrition (ACE, NCI, PN, ongoing functional nutrition education), I specialize in helping women over 30 lose fat, build a lean physique, and feel confident in their bodies without extremes, restriction, or giving up the foods they love.

My approach is rooted in science, individualized coaching, and addressing root causes not quick fixes. I don’t believe in punishing your body into change. I help you work with it so results finally stick.
